Happy Monday!

Monday!Although I am not completely over everything that has been happening, I have decided that I need to get myself over it and not let it get me down.  I have too much to do, and not a lot of time to do it!

What better day to start WORKing at it than on a Monday?

I will admit, I didn’t leave my room until way too late in the morning, for fear that my husband was still in a bad mood (he slept in another room last night, so I’m going to take a chance and say he *is*).  But I came out, took my shower and began to do some things that needed to be taken care of.  It wasn’t a lot of things, but at least they are done!

I am on the hunt for either a job, or for work-at-home ideas.  If you have any, *please* let me know!  For a while, I wanted to be a Virtual Assistant, and that’s still something that interests me, but I have not really been able to find much about it, or how to best get started.  I also have a few books about working at home – mostly blogging or customer service related – which is great, but I’m not sure I want to go that route.

I would much prefer to work for myself.  I tried the Mary Kay route for half a second, but I’m not a sales person, so that failed.  But I did get some makeup out of the deal!  That’s a plus!  Being pregnant, I’m limited to what I can do, but not by much.  I can still type, create, drive, etc. I just can’t do a lot of (literal) running, nor can I lift heavy objects.  (Well Pooh…  There goes my chance at becoming the next Marathon Runner/Clean Jerk Champion!)  In other words, I can still do a ton, I would just like for it to be on my own terms.  It is tough to get a job when the employer will just have to find someone else to take over in two months when the baby comes.  I don’t want to put people in that position, if I can help it.

I often wish that I had a more creative side.  Then maybe I could blog for a living, or sell things on Etsy or eBay.  I love arts & crafts, but I am one for following instructions, not creating my own project.  I have never been one to think outside of the box, but I’m quite good at following the logic that leads to the box.  I think I may need to read something like “What Color Is Your Parachute?” or something like that, to give me a good idea of my strengths and weaknesses.  I could make a list – I’m good at lists – but I’m pretty biased.  I may just make myself out to be the most brilliant woman in the world, and that (though nice for me) isn’t exactly true.

Well, I guess it will be a work in progress, but being the end of the year,it’s as good a time as any to get it underway for 2013, right?  This is one resolution I need to keep!
